What Is a GPA Calculator?
Grade Point Average (GPA) is the standard measure of academic performance, calculated by averaging grade points weighted by course credits. This calculator works on both the 4.0 scale (most common in the US) and the 5.0 scale (used by some honours programs).
Add each course with its credit hours and letter grade. The calculator computes the term GPA, total credits and grade points. The letter-to-point table follows the standard mapping (A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, and so on).
The Formula
Each course's grade points are multiplied by its credit weight and summed, then divided by the total credits. This means a 4-credit A (16 points) outweighs a 2-credit B (6 points).
